Multi Sports Facility Inauguration Day Report

It was the most significant and memorable day at Edify school Bengaluru on 23rd November 2012 when the students, Parents & other guests met their icons Mr.Anil Kumble, the former Indian Cricket Team Captain and president of KSCA, Mr. Mohandas Pai, the Chairman, Manipal Global Education Services Pvt Ltd and Mr Javagal Srinath, former Indian test Cricketer & Secretary of KSCA. The school Head Boy and the Head Girl escorted the dignitaries for the inauguration ceremony of the multi sports facility, Synergy Blok & the Skating Rink. Mr. Anil kumble inaugurated the 'Multi Sports Facility turf ground' .The gathering were a witness to a unique sight of Mr. Kumble sharing a few Tennis knocks with Mr. Pai & Mr. Srinath. The 'Synergy Block' that houses the Computer and Robotics lab, Composite lab, Art & Craft room, Vocal and Instrumental music room, and Indian and western dance room was inaugurated by Mr. Mohan Das Pai. Mr Javagal srinath inaugurated the Skating Rink and shared a few guidelines and precautions with the students. The school now boasts of one of the Biggest Skating Rinks amongst the Bangalore Schools. After the inauguration, all trustees, Advisory board members, parents, Staff and the children assembled in the assembly area where Mr. Tallam Venkatesh, the president of VVNT welcomed all the dignitaries. The presentation about the school was given by Ms.Niti Mahendra, the Principal Edify school Bengaluru. Mr. Kumble, Mr. Srinath and Mr. Mohandas Pai addressed the gathering and interacted with students of Edify School and other invited schools. All the dignitaries stressed on holistic education and making study environment stress free. Mr. Mohandas Pai cautioned the mothers against becoming "Tiger Moms" and requested the parents not to use pressure tactics on the children. President VVNT Mr. Tallam Venkatesh on the sport announced scholarships for students excelling in Sports and Co-scholastic domains. The dedicated services of the Senior Vice President Mr. K. G. Subbaraj in bringing up Edify School to this level were highly lauded. The day ended with dignitaries signing a few memorabilia for the school and with the warm vote of gratitude proposed by Mr. Arun Kumar, Secretary General, VVNT.
